Water Quality

Took part in Earthwatch’s water testing exercise at the weekend. Sadly the stream on Langley Moor (measured just upstream from where it exits the field) is rated as having poor ecological value. Not entirely surprising given that there is a sewage works discharging upstream and cattle in the field next door, but it shows that even after six years of no livestock or chemicals it’s really hard to get good water quality.Text content
